Mercedes-Benz GLC : Online services / Manufacturer's services
Regarding the manufacturer's online services,
the individual functions are described by the
manufacturer in a suitable place, for example, in
the Operator's Manual or on the manufacturer's
website, where the relevant data protection
information is also given. Personal data may be
used for the provision of online services. Data
are exchanged via a secure connection, such as
the manufacturer's designated IT systems. Any
personal data which are collected, processed
and used, other than for the provision of services,
is done so exclusively on the basis of legal
permission. This is the case, for example, for a
legally prescribed emergency call system, a contractual
agreement or when consent has been
given.
You can have services and functions, some of
which are subject to a fee, activated or deactivated.
This excludes legally prescribed functions
and services, such as an emergency call system.
If your vehicle has a wireless network connection,
it enables data to be exchanged between
your vehicle and additional systems. The wireless
network connection is made possible by the
vehicle's own transmitter and receiver or by a
mobile end device that you have brought into the
vehicle, for example, a smartphone...
If you use online services from other providers
(third parties), these services are the responsibility
of the provider in question and subject to
that provider's data protection conditions and
terms of use...
