Mercedes-Benz GLC : Side windows / Convenience closing (closing the vehicle from outside)
WARNING Risk of entrapment due to not
paying attention during convenience
closing
When the convenience closing feature is
operating, parts of the body could become
trapped in the closing area of the side window
and the sliding sunroof.
When the convenience
closing feature
is operating, monitor the entire closing
process and make sure that no body
parts are in the closing area.
Press and hold the
button on the
SmartKey.
The following functions are performed:
- The vehicle is locked.
- The side windows are closed.
- The panoramic sliding roof is closed.
To interrupt convenience
closing: release
the
button.
To close the roller sunblinds:
press and
hold the
button again.
Convenience closing also functions with
KEYLESS-GO.
WARNING Risk of entrapment when
opening a side window
When opening a side window, parts of the
body could be drawn in or become trapped
between the side window and window frame...
WARNING Risk of becoming trapped or
fatally injured if reversing protection is
not activated
If you close a side window again immediately
after it has been blocked, the side window
will close with increased or maximum force...

the Supplement. You could otherwise fail to recognize
dangers.
NOTE Damage from automatic braking
If one of the following functions is switched
on, the vehicle brakes automatically in certain
situations:
Active Brake Assist
Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
HOLD function
Active Parking Assist
To avoid damage to the vehicle, deactivate
these systems in the following or similar situations:
During towing
In a car wash
Mercedes-Benz recommends transporting your
vehicle in the case of a breakdown, rather than
towing it away...
If speed limit change between 12 mph
(20 km/h) and 80 mph (130 km/h) is detected and the automatic adoption of speed
limits is
active, it will be automatically adopted as the
stored speed.
The driven speed is adjusted when the vehicle is
level with the traffic sign at the latest...
