Mercedes-Benz GLC : Side windows / Resolving problems with the side windows

WARNING Risk of becoming trapped or fatally injured if reversing protection is not activated

If you close a side window again immediately after it has been blocked, the side window will close with increased or maximum force.

The reversing function is then not active and body parts may become trapped.

A side window cannot be closed and you cannot see the cause.

Adjusting the side windows

If a side window is obstructed during closing and reopens again immediately:

Resolving problems with the side windows Immediately after this, pull and hold the corresponding button again until the side window has closed and hold the button for at least one more second (re-adjustment). The side window will be closed without the automatic reversing function.

If the side window is obstructed again and reopens again immediately:

The side window will be closed without the automatic reversing function.

The side windows cannot be opened or closed using the convenience opening feature.

Possible cause:

  • The SmartKey battery is weak or discharged.
